Roland DG's New TrueVIS TR2 Ink Receives Avery Dennison ICS Performance Guarantee and Six-Hour Outgassing Approval

Hamamatsu, Japan, March 19, 2019 – Roland DG Corporation, a leading manufacturer of wide format inkjet printers and printer cutters worldwide, is proud to announce that Avery Dennison has awarded their advanced ICS Performance Guarantee for graphics printed with new TR2 eco-solvent ink and the new TrueVIS VG2 series 64" and 54" wide-format eco-solvent printer cutters.

According to Kohei Tanabe, President of the Roland DG Digital Printing Business Division, the ICS Performance Guarantee provides warranty protection for up to 4 years for outdoor printed graphics and up to 7 years for indoor graphics. "Just as exciting for users of the TrueVIS VG2 Series and Avery Media combination," Tanabe said, "is that after widespread testing, Avery has set the recommended outgassing time at just six hours. This dramatically reduces the print and laminate timeframe recommended for traditional solvent technology by 75%, allowing users to easily implement same day print and laminate workflows in their businesses and retain a full graphics warranty."

The TrueVIS VG2 Series adopts a new generation of eco-solvent TR2 ink. In order to take full advantage of the VG2's superior colour reproduction capability and the wide colour gamut provided by TR2 ink, a True Rich Colour preset was also created – allowing vibrant colours to be combined with neutral greys, smooth gradations and natural skin tones for producing stunning graphics.
