  • Hi-Fi Express FP-740

    The Hi-Fi Express FP-740 74” sublimation printer creates brilliant graphics for a range of applications including flags, banners and other soft signage. Durable, rigid construction, an optional high-capacity ink system and an impressive maximum print speed of 50.9 sqmt./hr. make it ideal for high-volume production.

    The FP-740 is based on Roland’s award-winning inkjet technology and is just as easy to operate and maintain as the rest of our printer line. Sublimated prints are easily transferred to polyester fabric for vibrant colour flags, banners and textiles that preserve the fabric’s natural drape and texture.

    • High-Speed Printing

      High SpeedThe FP-740 was built for high-speed, high-volume production. Featuring eight piezo inkjet print heads, the FP-740 prints at a maximum speed of 50.9 sqmt./hr. at 270x360 dpi resolution. This high-speed mode is perfect for professional quality T-shirts, textiles, and much more. In addition, the FP-740 offers a range of print speeds and image resolutions including high-quality 720x720 dpi mode.

    • Advanced Maintenance System

      Many high-volume sublimation printers require daily maintenance in order to correctly perform. The FP-740 takes virtually no time. Its automated maintenance system performs routine maintenance, eliminating many time-consuming manual maintenance tasks. As a result, manual cleaning is only recommended every two weeks.

    • Automated Media Take-Up System

      TakeUp UnitThe FP-740 includes an automated front-mounted media take-up system to facilitate precision printing even when unattended. This sensor-guided take-up system adjusts automatically to eliminate excess slack in the media.

    • Extended Capacity Ink Delivery System

      SBL2 InksThe FP-740 comes equipped with a redesigned extended capacity ink delivery system that optimises ink usage and allows replacement of cartridges without the need to pause the printer. With a total of eight ink 220cc cartridges feeding 16 intermediate reservoirs, the FP-740 accommodates more than 3520 ml of usable ink for increased productivity and unattended production printing.

    • Optional Bulk Ink System

      Bulk Ink SystemThe optional HeatWave BU-1 high-capacity ink system and SBL2 sublimation inks together support long, unattended production runs and deliver outstanding colourfastness to FP-740 sublimated graphics. As the company’s newest and most advanced HeatWave ink formulation, SBL2 images exceptionally well on lightweight, flexible fabrics for vivid colour flags, banners and textiles that are easy to handle, inexpensive to ship, and safe to install.

      HeatWave SBL2 ink produces rich, high-density colours and dries quickly. Its advanced formulation creates a very fine dot pattern for maximum ink transfer to the final fabric. As a result, graphics sublimated with HeatWave SBL2 reflect flawless, even ink coverage and deep, vivid colours with absolutely no banding.

    • VersaWorks RIP Software

      VersaWorksVersaWorks RIP software has been developed exclusively for Roland inkjet printers and printer/cutters. This true Adobe PostScript 3 RIP ensures exceptional production output with unmatched ease of use and incorporates the latest Adobe CPSI 3019 engine.

      VersaWorks supports the Roland colour system which accurately reproduces more than 1,000 spot colours from colour charts and swatch books. With VersaWorks, users can choose from print options including a high-speed mode for production banner printing, the MAX Impact preset for vivid outdoor graphics and Artistic mode for exceptional indoor graphics. In addition, VersaWorks features Variable Data Printing and supports up to four Roland devices simultaneously including printers, printer/cutters and cutters. It automatically estimates the ink usage and print time for each graphic so you can accurately monitor time and costs.

      VersaWorks features include embedded ICC profile support, ink level adjustment tools, software proofing capabilities, error diffusion for outstanding print quality and advanced cropping, tiling and nesting options. Support for Roland cutters allows you to pair a Roland cutter with any wide-format or desktop printer for print/cut applications. The PerfCut function produces precision perforated cut lines. VersaWorks 4.0 is fully compatible with Windows 7, Vista, XP and 2000.

    • Standard Roland Features

      Network Connection - Equipped with Roland’s own 100 BASE-TX/10 BASE-T interface, the FP-740 connects seamlessly to office networks without additional software, achieving an increased data transmission rate of 100 Mb/sec. This makes it easy to configure a highly efficient printing environment.

      Reliability You Can Count On - The FP-740 is designed to be a bulletproof production machine. With regular maintenance, it will provide years of trouble-free service. But, unlike most inkjets that require daily maintenance, the FP-740 requires significantly less servicing.
