The VersaCAMM VS produces gold, silver and other metallic effects on demand. Unlike offset and flexo presses, the VS has no plates to process, making production easy, seamless and cost effective.Featuring Metallic Silver ECO-SOL MAX™ ink, the VS allows professionals to take full advantage of Roland’s advanced inkjet technology. The Roland Metallic Color library has over 512 metallic combinations for endless colour customisation, and the new Metallic Texture Library adds 26 unique texture fills, adding value and sophistication to any graphic or marketing message. Metallic Silver ECO-SOL MAX™ ink has been recognised as a DPI Product of the Year, an accolade that reflects its exceptional image quality.

NEW Double White Ink Configuration
7-Color White+White (CMYKLcLm & Double White)With white ink you can output onto transparent, silver, coloured and other media. This opens up all kinds of value added options, like bright window displays, window decals for vehicles, or short run package prototypes and mock-ups where added brightness and opacity make all the difference.
You can also select Double-White printing, which outputs two channels of white simultaneously. Compared with one-channel white printing, this configuration doubles the conventional printing speed when using white as a single colour*1. An optional Dryer/Blower*2 can also be added to speed up the drying process. This increase in speed will naturally improve the overall productivity of your business.*1 Compared to the VS series with 8 colour printing. *2 The optional Dryer/Blower is required for Double-White printing.

Advanced 8-Channel Print Head Technology
The VS series incorporates the latest in variable droplet inkjet printing technology. The new 8-channel Piezo inkjet print head contains 180 nozzles per channel in a gold-plated housing to cut down on static electricity build up which can clog print nozzles. Nozzles are perfectly round for precision-formed droplets. With seven different droplet sizes available, the VS can achieve remarkably smooth gradations and richer density for photographic and high-resolution vector output. A new head protection plate and recessed print head prevent head strikes from rippling media.

Automated Ink Circulation System
To prevent the pigments in metallic silver and white inks from settling, the VersaCAMM VS comes with Roland’s unique, patent-pending automated ink circulation system. The system automatically reduces waste of white and metallic silver ink for dramatically lower running costs. The system ensures exceptional image quality throughout the longest production runs.

A true production printer, the VS features an advanced media handling system allowing users to feed rolls up to 40 kgs for the VS-640. ECO-SOL MAX™ Inks
ECO-SOL MAX™ is a remarkable innovation in ink technology, offering fast drying time, high density, wide colour gamut, rugged scratch resistance, low cost per square meter, and broad uncoated media support. In addition, ECO-SOL MAX ™ is virtually odorless.For the standard VS-640 configuration, ECO-SOL MAX comes in CMYK+Lc+Lm+Mt+W ink sets (220ml cartridges). A double CMYK model is also available (KYMCCMYK). ECO-SOL MAX™ graphics are water and UV resistant up to 3 years outdoors*. VersaWorks automatically monitors ink levels in both 220ml or 440ml cartridges and posts a warning when levels run low.

VersaWorks RIP Software
VersaWorks RIP software has been developed exclusively for Roland inkjet printers and printer/cutters. This true Adobe PostScript 3 RIP ensures exceptional production output with unmatched ease of use and incorporates the latest Adobe CPSI 3019 engine. VersaWorks supports the Roland Color system which accurately reproduces more than 1,000 spot colours from colour charts and swatch books. The Roland Metallic Color library in VersaWorks features 512 metallic colours that print using CMYK+Mt in a single pass. This palette includes silver, gold, bronze and other metallic colours. Users can also easily create and save their own custom metallic spot colours in Roland VersaWorks RIP software.
With VersaWorks, users can choose from print options including a high-speed mode for production banner printing, the MAX Impact preset for vivid outdoor graphics and Artistic mode for exceptional indoor graphics. In addition, VersaWorks features Variable Data Printing and supports up to four Roland devices simultaneously including printers, printer/cutters and cutters. It automatically estimates the ink usage and print time for each graphic so you can accurately monitor time and costs.
VersaWorks features include embedded ICC profile support, ink level adjustment tools, software proofing capabilities, error diffusion for outstanding print quality and advanced cropping, tiling and nesting options. New Wiper System
A new, patent-pending wiper system is designed to decrease wear and tear on the print head and prolong its life by reducing ink buildup. The VS includes a combination of standard wipers and additional side wipers which reduce the maintenance issues caused by ink reservoirs and dust. As a result, fewer manual cleanings are required.
