    In today’s economy, everyone is looking for value. And real value begins with real quality and performance. That’s the thinking that drove the design of the all-new compact Roland SP-i printer/cutter series.

    The VersaCAMM® is the perfect high-performance production tool for creating colorful decals, labels, banners, posters, vehicle and floor graphics, apparel decoration and just about any sign imaginable.

    The VersaCAMM® SP-i series is the industry’s most versatile entry-level device, combining 4-color printing and contour cutting all in one device through one seamless workflow. Roland Intelligent Pass Control technology virtually eliminates banding by optimizing masking patterns and dot placement at the edge of each pass and offers print speeds that are up to 50 percent faster than the previous models in Standard print mode. Other advanced features include automated maintenance, superior media handling, Ethernet connectivity, and an optional take-up system.

      Print & Cut WorkflowThe VersaCAMM® streamlines the production process by automatically contour cutting printed graphics. By eliminating the need to reload and reposition graphics, the VersaCAMM's integrated cutters save time and effort.

    • Roland Intelligent Pass Control

      Roland Intelligent Pass Control technology developed by Roland software engineers represents the pinnacle of inkjet printing. This patent-pending system precisely controls dot placement between passes and delivers unprecedented imaging performance in all resolutions. The technology actually enhances image quality at higher print speeds thereby increasing productivity. As a result, the SP-300i produces smooth gradations and flawless solid colors while achieving faster throughput with virtually no banding in all print modes.

    • ECO-SOL MAX™ Inks

      ECO SOL MAXECO-SOL MAX™ is a remarkable innovation in ink technology, offering fast drying time, high density, wide color gamut, rugged scratch resistance, low cost per square meter, and broad uncoated media support. In addition, ECO-SOL MAX ™ is virtually odorless.

      The SP-300i features ECO-SOL MAX ™ ink in four colors (CMYK) and in both 220ml and 440ml cartridges. ECO-SOL MAX graphics are water and UV resistant up to 3 years outdoors*. VersaWorks automatically monitors ink levels in both 220ml or 440ml cartridges and posts a warning when levels run low.

      * Outdoor durability is based on accelerated weather tests. Results may vary depending upon location and application. Dry times vary depending on specific media characteristics. Lamination may be required for some applications or environmental conditions.

    • Integrated Heater System

      HeaterAn integrated heating system, which can be set from 35° to 50°C, helps ECO-SOL MAX™ ink bond to both uncoated and coated media and dry faster. For ease of use, the heating system is controlled from the printer as well as the computer. For energy efficiency, a single source of power runs both the heating system and print/cut mechanism.

    • Advanced Media Handling

      Media HandlingThe VersaCAMM® delivers superior media handling, allowing you to experience optimum performance on a vast array of media options. Removable pinch rollers allow you to accommodate any range of media – from banner material to vinyl. Up to five rollers can be used at once, allowing you to match the configuration to your media type. Adjustable print heads enable you to accommodate variable media thicknesses as well.

      Roland-designed media flanges provide more robust media handling capabilities when printing on heavier rolls. This development prevents skewing and ensures stable media feeding through long print runs. The SP-300i handles rolls weighing up to 20 kgs. and the SP-540i accepts up to 30 kgs. and 180 mm diameter.

    • VersaWorks RIP Software

      VersaWorksVersaWorks RIP software has been developed exclusively for Roland inkjet printers and printer/cutters. This true Adobe PostScript 3 RIP ensures exceptional production output with unmatched ease of use and incorporates the latest Adobe CPSI 3019 engine.

      VersaWorks supports the Roland Color system which accurately reproduces more than 1,000 spot colors from color charts and swatch books. With VersaWorks, users can choose from print options including a high-speed mode for production banner printing, the MAX Impact preset for vivid outdoor graphics and Artistic mode for exceptional indoor graphics. In addition, VersaWorks features Variable Data Printing and supports up to four Roland devices simultaneously including printers, printer/cutters and cutters. It automatically estimates the ink usage and print time for each graphic so you can accurately monitor time and costs.

      VersaWorks features include embedded ICC profile support, ink level adjustment tools, software proofing capabilities, error diffusion for outstanding print quality and advanced cropping, tiling and nesting options. Support for Roland cutters allows you to pair a Roland cutter with any wide-format or desktop printer for print/cut applications. The PerfCut function produces precision perforated cut lines. VersaWorks 4.0 is fully compatible with Windows 7, Vista, XP and 2000.

    • ECO-SOL™ Media

      Eco-SOL Media is developed especially for Roland ECO-SOL MAX™ ink, which is used by VersaCAMM® and SOLJET inkjets. It includes a wide selection of competitively priced, uncoated adhesive-backed vinyls and other popular substrates. The line-up currently consists of glossy, matte, clear and translucent calendered, premium cast vinyl, premium reflective vinyl, view-through vinyl, flame retardant scrim banner, blockout scrim banner and solvent glossy paper. Roland also offers an additional 20 materials that optimize SOLJET and VersaCAMM® print quality. They include heat transfer material, backlit film, matte artist canvas and a high-quality matte paper in its SCM, PQM, PGM and PCM media line-ups.

    • High-Speed Production Printing

      The VersaCAMM SP-i series powered by Roland Intelligent Pass Control achieves faster printing for greater productivity. The SP-300i is up to 50% faster in Standard mode than the previous models with the addition of Roland Intelligent Pass Control.

    • Outstanding Print Quality

      The SP-i series produces outstanding photorealistic graphics regardless of viewing distance. The printer precisely controls droplet placement in both the print head travel and media feed directions to provide up to 1440x720 dpi resolution. Built to Roland standards for precision imaging, the SP-i series features digital servomotors to micro-position the media.

      Variable droplet technology uses three droplet sizes to allow the right amount of ink to be deposited on the media at precisely the right time and in exactly the right place. This state-of-the-art implementation of Piezo print head technology delivers truly breathtaking output with beautifully smooth, band-free accurate color on a wide range of media – even at the highest print speeds.

    • Professional Take-up System Option

      TakeUp UnitTo facilitate precision unattended printing, the VersaCAMM SP-i series supports an optional automated media feed and take-up system. This system includes a convenient front-mounted take-up roller and an advanced tension-controlled take-up unit for optimum media feed and tracking.

    • Low Running Costs

      Low CostECO-SOL MAX™ boosts the performance of Roland eco-solvent inkjets at low running costs that both you and your customers will appreciate.

      For a low-density image, we estimate an average ink cost of $2 per sq metre and an average media cost of $4 per sq metre for a total of $6 per sq metre. For a high-density image, we estimate an average ink cost of $3.60 per sq metre. and an average media cost* of $3.80 per s metre for a total of $7.40 per sq metre.

      Network Connection - Equipped with Roland’s own 100 BASE-TX/10 BASE-T interface, the SP-300i connects seamlessly to office networks without additional software, achieving an increased data transmission rate of 100 Mb/sec. This makes it easy to configure a highly efficient printing environment.

      Reliability You Can Count On - The SP-300i is designed to be a bulletproof production machine. With regular maintenance, it will provide years of trouble-free service. But, unlike most inkjets that require daily maintenance, the SP-300i requires significantly less servicing.
